At Dark Coast Solutions, we are committed to delivering high-quality digital services including website development, SEO, automation systems, care plans, audits, and consulting. Because of the nature of digital and service-based work, our refund and cancellation terms differ from those of physical products. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and subscription changes are handled for all orders placed through our website or WooCommerce checkout.

1. Overview

Dark Coast Solutions provides digital services and deliverables that begin accruing time, planning, and resource allocation as soon as a project is scheduled or started.

For this reason, most payments are non-refundable, and “returns” do not apply to digital deliverables.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. Refund Eligibility

Because our work is digital and labor-based, the following applies:

  • All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits reserve production time and resources.
  • Once project work has begun, all payments made up to that point are non-refundable.
  • If no work has begun and a written refund request is submitted within 7 days of purchase, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.

NO REFUNDS ARE PROVIDED FOR:

  • Completed work
  • Strategy sessions
  • Partially completed work
  • Delivered digital assets

Refunds are not guaranteed and may only be granted in exceptional cases at Dark Coast Solutions’ sole discretion.

3. Project Cancellations

Clients may cancel a project at any time by submitting a written request.

If cancellation occurs:

  • Any completed or in-progress work will be delivered and billed accordingly.
  • All payments made up to the cancellation date are non-refundable.
  • Additional payment may be due if work completed exceeds the most recent milestone paid.

We reserve the right to cancel a project due to:

  • Lack of required assets
  • Prolonged non-communication (10+ days)
  • Breach of contract or violation of terms

In such cases, no refunds are provided for payments already made.

4. Monthly Subscriptions

Care Plans, Automation, Hosting

For recurring services:

  • Payments for monthly subscriptions are non-refundable, including partial months.
  • You may cancel at any time, and service will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • No refunds are issued for unused time, missed cancellations, or mid-cycle termination.

Cancelled subscriptions do not result in pro-rated refunds.

5. Digital Products

If digital downloads, templates, or assets are purchased:

All digital products are final sale due to their non-revocable nature. No refunds are issued once a file has been downloaded or accessed.

Defective Files

If a file is defective or inaccessible, we will provide a corrected version at no charge immediately upon notification.

6. Dissatisfaction With Service

If you are dissatisfied with a deliverable or service, you must notify us within 14 days of the issue.

We will review the concern fairly and may offer:

Refunds are not offered for dissatisfaction alone but may be considered in rare circumstances at our discretion.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback, clients must contact us to attempt resolution.

  • Chargebacks filed without prior communication will be disputed with documentation of completed work.
  • Any fees incurred from unjustified chargebacks may be billed back to the client.
  • Ongoing services will be paused during a payment dispute.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation:

If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method only. Processing time varies based on your payment provider.
